Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Itinerary
1:00 AM – Hotel Pick-up
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, or Ubud. Pick-up time may vary slightly depending on your hotel location and traffic conditions.
2:30 AM – Arrival at Mount Batur Base Camp
Meet your local trekking guide, complete a short registration, receive your flashlight, and enjoy a light breakfast with hot tea or coffee before beginning the hike.
4:00 AM – Begin Your Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking
Start your guided hike through volcanic trails beneath the stars. Your experienced guide will maintain a comfortable pace with short breaks along the way while sharing interesting information about Mount Batur and the surrounding area.
Around 5:45 AM – Reach the Summit
Arrive at the summit just before sunrise and admire spectacular panoramic views across Lake Batur, Mount Abang, Mount Agung, and, on clear mornings, even Mount Rinjani in Lombok.
Enjoy a freshly prepared banana pancake, hot tea or coffee, and mineral water while watching the sunrise over Bali.
6:45 AM – Explore the Summit
Take your time exploring the volcanic crater, capturing photos, and enjoying the incredible scenery before beginning your descent.
7:15 AM – Descend to Base Camp
Walk back down the mountain while enjoying beautiful morning views of the lava fields and surrounding countryside.
8:30 AM – Return to Base Camp
Meet your driver and prepare for your journey back to your hotel.
